	Info About the Children's Hospital for Wales The Noah's Ark Appeal is raising funds to create the first purpose built hospital in Wales for very sick children providing the seriously ill with specialist care and treatment. Many childhood illnesses can only be managed safely in hospitals where there is access to state of the art care and technology which can also provide facilities for parents and families whose presence during the treatment of their children is often essential to recovery. The hospital will provide a resource for professionals caring for sick children throughout Wales, for teaching and training and research into child illnesses, and the promotion of child health. The Hospital will be built on the Campus of the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff and it will serve the whole of Wales. Work is due to start in 2001.
