Hello Charlotte Fans, we close off a rather quiet month with a rather large event. Tonight, the best and brightest in Classical Music will gather in London's Royal Albert Hall for the second Classical BRIT Awards. Last year Charlotte took the top honour, British Artist of the Year. This year, her third album, Dream a Dream is up for Rover's Album of the Year with some pretty stiff competition depending on how you look at it. Will Charlotte pull it off again? Check back later tonight to find out! You can be sure someone in the forums will post the results as soon as they are released. If you're feeling nostalgic how about looking at the excitment generated by the Classical Brits last year during their inaugural event.

In other updates today we have some magazine scans from Mark of Team UK. Here they are:

Mail on Sunday "The Real Rich List - Britain's top 50 earners last year" (April 29, 2001)
Mail on Sunday "Review of the Child Stars programme" (April 29, 2001)

If you've not revisited The Bristol Labour Rally coverage since the last update be sure to since there were a whole bunch of new photos added on the 26th of May.

Finally, Vince Goviannini has a new visual art contribution for you in the Art Gallery.  Look for updates regarding the Classical BRIT Awards late tonight or early tomorrow. Also, we've had a great response to the new Angel Alliance site so be sure to check it out for a great opportunity to own a rare piece of Charlotte memorabilia and help a great cause.    - Mark

Hello Charlotte Fans, it's a rather busy Friday with lots of new pages to point out so lets get right to it. First off, the big news is Charlotte's performance for Prime Minister Blair at the Labour Party Rally in Bristol, UK yesterday. This event drew quite a lot of press coverage but at the time of this writing the papers are just hitting the stands in the UK. Not to worry though, we've already assembled the best of the Charlotte centered coverage out there on the web all in one convenient location in our Bristol Rally Feature. Keep checking back there for some more pictures and stories later today and tomorrow.

The next area of interest would be the magazine addition made on Wednesday from the South Wales Echo. It has a nice photo of Charlotte holding the FA Cup and a small story attached. Definitely worth a peek.

Although Charlotte's book tour has been over for weeks we made some new additions at the Autobio site in the form of Videos from her signings in Brea, California and Los Angeles, California. Be sure to see those if you were interested in what one of these signings was like. Thanks to Walter for donating his digital video from the Brea signing.

The final announcement we have today is of our increased partnership with Amanda Dunbar's Angel Alliance. Today we are launching a new site here to focus specifically on this charity and to give CharlotteChurch.net viewers an exclusive opportunity to own a fabulous piece of Charlotte memorabilia and help build a stunning monument all at the same time.

Continue to check back during the weekend for more updates on Charlotte's Labour Rally appearance and much more.  - Mark

Hello Charlotte Fans, we roll into the weekend with some new things for you to look at today. First up, if you missed the news from last post about Charlotte's two new recordings be sure to check it out in the news page.  Next, we have completed the Charlotte in Concert 2001 Spring Wrap-up Feature for one click access to this amazing concert series and all it's events. I think you'll agree this was a landmark in every way. Biggest thanks go out to the entire group of people who donated their time and efforts to bring you coverage from each event.  It looked like an impossible challenge to cover all of these concerts but we were able to do it. A great deal of credit goes to two guys who did a the bulk of media research for every one of these events, Steve and 'VA'. Again, simply amazing teamwork by everyone involved. The best part is, this tour still isn't over with three summer concert stops still to come (San Diego, London and Los Angeles) so stay tuned for all the latest.

Next up we have two non-English magazines featuring Charlotte. The first is from the April 12th issue of Christian Belleau (French) Thanks to Kate. View that here. The next is from the April 26 issue of golwg (Welsh) Thanks to Dave. View that here. Be sure to check the golwg article out if you are looking for some pictures that were previously unreleased outside of Charlotte's autobiography.

Finally, the Art Gallery gains new two new visual contributions from Laura in Taiwan and two literary contributions from Kenny and Kelly. Be sure to check all those out as well  if you have some free time. Last week we renovated the games section, this week look for something similar to happen to the videos section with some new contributions. Keep checking in for the latest news and updates and enjoy your weekend.  - Mark

Hello Charlotte Fans, this is a really quick update to let you know about some really big news in Charlotte's world and some of the updates we have been working on.

First up, it was revealed yesterday that Charlotte has recorded two new tracks for a new film titled Christmas Carol, The Movie, featuring the voices of Kate Winslet, Michael Gambon, Nicholas Cage, Rhys Ifans, Jane Horrocks and Simon Callow who plays both Charles Dickens & Scrooge. Read all about it on the news page! This isn't the last you'll hear about this so keep checking back for more news in the coming weeks.

In terms of updates, Dan in Michigan has completed the coverage from the Ann Arbor, Michigan Book Signing by adding some photos. Check them out here. Coverage from the Minneapolis concert has been started thanks to the help of Robert and Ron. There are some great clippings in the press section so check those out.

Still to come this week we have the Spring Concert Tour 2001 wrap-up, some news about our new effort to reach out to fans in the Philippines, a few interesting magazine clippings and possibly some video clips so stay tuned.  - Mark

Hello Charlotte Fans, as you head into the weekend we've got some updates for you in a wide range of places. First off, Boston Concert Coverage is now complete thanks the addition of pictures last night from Joe in Boston. Since the last update the Coverage from Chicago has been completed as well with some generous contributions from Gregory and Laura who wrote a great series of impressions from the event.

Last night, there was yet another repeat of Charlotte's episode on "Touched by an Angel" and for those of you that couldn't get enough, as usual we offer up our "Touched by an Angel" Feature. In other news a new concert has been added, this one is confirmed for September 6, 2001 in Kansas City, Missouri USA. Full details to come.

With the lack of any pressing events for the next week we've been updating and improving some of the popular sections around here and today we present the all new CharlotteChurch.net Games site. There you will find the most complete collection of Charlotte inspired games for your enjoyment and to kick off the brand new site we have a totally new section for you, Charlotte Crosswords by VAFan. Yep, you won't find these in the paper but if Crossword Puzzles are your game you'll be sure to enjoy these.  Three skill levels are available and you can either play online or print them out for those summer holiday trips. Big thanks goes to VAFan for envisioning these and making them a reality. If you like what you see be sure to e-mail him on the crosswords page to let him know you appreciated his work, if he gets enough responses you might even see some new ones pop up in the future :)

Finally, we leave you with yet another Art Gallery Contribution. This one goes in the Visual Arts Gallery and it's a stunning rendition of one of the "Dream a Dream" photo collection shots. Caroline, the artist who completed this work had it chosen for display in a local art gallery so we thank her for sharing it here in the largest collection of Charlotte art out there. More updates to come during the weekend so stay tuned, we're also working on a special project for fans in the Philippines we hope to show around Monday. Thanks for visiting, - Mark

Hello Charlotte Fans, it's been a week since the last post but that isn't to say it hasn't been busy. First off, Charlotte has completed this huge tour that has basically been going on since March 8th when it all started back in Charlotte, North Carolina. Last Monday she was in Boston, Massachusetts and if you were here during the week you saw the start of that coverage posted. Charlotte sang Thursday night in Chicago, Illinois and finished off Saturday night in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Coverage from those concerts is coming this week and next weekend you'll see a review/flashback of this entire tour just to put it into perspective.

Just a few hours ago the random drawings for the CharlotteChurch.net Book Giveaway were completed. E-Mails to all winners have been sent out and are awaiting confirmation. Congratulations to those that won and thanks to all those that participated and made this event a success. Biggest thanks of all goes to TimeWarner for their support and vision to allow us to hold such an event. Be sure to keep checking the Autobiography Site for future events and news.

Also during the week the main features index was fully updated after falling behind a few months be sure to check that page if you are looking for an indepth listing of what features we've posted. Various other tweaks were made to recent features to fix visual problems some of you were reporting. Feature of the week is a very interesting article from the Boston Globe that was posted during the week...definitely worth a look.

If you haven't cast your vote yet for "Dream a Dream" in the 2001 Classical Brit Awards what are you waiting for? Be sure to click the link at the top of this page or visit the news page for the direct link. Thanks for your help!

Finally, we close with two new additions to the Art Gallery, first it's a new visual creation from Laura in Taiwan that features both Charlotte and Billy Gilman and is titled "Charlotte and Billy" be sure to see this. Next is the third short story installment from Jack Schorr posted to the Literary Gallery. This one is entitled "Parallel Dreams" and is a great read if you have some time on your hands. That is it for now, look for concert coverage from the previous two concerts this week as well as anything else that may pop up. As always check the forums for the latest discussion and news.  - Mark
