Hello
Charlotte Fans,
August has drawn to a close and by any
indication this was one of the busiest
months ever in terms of news and updates
here. In fact, going by the pure
numbers the only month that has matched
this so far was December
2000 with Charlotte's myriad
of appearances. Nevertheless,
we close out August with some more news.
If you visited the site yesterday, you
saw we added news
of Charlotte holding an online Chat with
DSOKids.com.
Today we have even more info on the
event courtesy of the DSOKids.com team and
you can read all about it on the news
page. If you can't make this event
and would like to have a question
submitted, send it here
and it will be passed on. Also
in the news today, we have links to
pre-order on two new albums that Charlotte
will be featured on. First is "Our
Favorite Things" which is the
recording of the Christmas
in Vienna Concert held last year. The
other is titled "Classical
Hits" it's a compilation of some
of the most popular classical recordings
of the past few years. Again all the
pre-order links including cover shots can
be found on the news page. Last
week we brought you the Exhale
Interview on video, today we have the
full text transcript courtesy of
Monica for those of you who have requested
it. Taking you back a little further in
time to January, Arik has found two
"new" photos from Charlotte's
appearance at "The
Wedding Planner Premiere" That
does it for August, stay tuned for all
the surprises in September.

Hello
Charlotte Fans,
it's a real quickie today during this
last "quiet" week before
things start to really heat up in the
news department. Today we've added all
you need to know to obtain tickets to
Charlotte's concert in Athens, Greece.
Thanks to Kate for this info. This
sounds like it is going to be a really
interesting event so, even if you aren't
planning on attending, take a peek at
the ticket info. There you will
find a link to The Athens Concert Hall
official site that might be of some
interest. Look for coverage from
Athens on this very site in late
October. That's
all to show today, there should be another
update on Friday and believe it or not
September is already here. That means
Dallas is just around the corner and
promotion for "Enchantment"
should really start to heat up shortly.
For now, take a breather and get ready for
the next wave. Check The
Forums for all the latest news and
happenings and be sure to cast your vote,
we've got less than a month left until the
short listed sites are revealed. Every
vote counts. Finally, we're looking to set
up a schedule for regular chats in the
Chatroom. This involves covering all the time zones
so if you are interested in moderating drop
me an e-mail. We're specifically
looking for fans from Asia and Europe to
help out with moderating in specific time
slots. Thanks for visiting. -

Hello
Charlotte Fans,
another busy weekend update for you
today. Firstly we have a bit of news to
start off with. Charlotte's management
has given us access to the preliminary
track listing for
"Enchantment" which if you
haven't heard by now is
Charlotte's 4th Album. We have this
listing available for you on the News
Page. While you're there you will
find out why we just can't call it final
yet. Charlotte also had some press in
USA Today yesterday and we have added
that along with the corresponding
picture in our Media
Feature of the Week segment. This is
yet another article about
"Enchantment" but still worth checking
out here.
The
magazine
photos section gains a couple of new
contributions today:
Teen Celebrity August 2001 "Charlotte Church is a regular girl with the Voice of an
Angel" Thanks to Don Young.
(Article seems a bit dated but photo is relatively
new)
South Wales Echo, Monday (July 16, 2001) "Charlotte goes solo at Hyde Park"
Thanks to Monica. The
next bit of updates are all photos/text
being added to previously released
features. First up, our Honolulu
Concert Coverage gains another
in concert photo and one
more pre-concert story. Thanks to
Tracy in Hawaii for sending these in.
Next, coverage of Charlotte's appearance
at the Rush
Hour 2 Premiere gains 3 more high
resolution photos courtesy of Dave.
Finally, we're taking a trip back in time
one year to Charlotte's appearance at the
Chimes benefit concert in Baltimore,
Maryland to add a
whole bunch of new photos thanks to
Entertainment Consultants. This just goes
to show you that concert coverage is never
quite finished and is always a work in
progress. That
will do it for today, be sure to check out
the "Exhale" feature we added on
Thursday if you haven't already for some
great video footage. You can expect a full
transcript of that video shortly from
Monica. News on Charlotte's album just
keeps rolling in so stay tuned, we hope to
have details on her plans for a large
promotional tour soon. Until then see what
others have to say about the 4th Album
tracks in the
Forums and Chat.

Hello
Charlotte Fans,
if you've been watching the
news page you've seen it has been
quite a busy week. As expected much of
the news was about Charlotte's 4th album
which finally recieved its name
"Enchantment" on the 20th. For
all the official details , read the
press release sent out by Columbia
Records on the news
page. Not long after the
official announcement, online retailers
started adding Enchantment to their
pre-order sections. We have the latest
list of these retailers on the
news page and in the 4th album info
box above. The final bit of news is that
you can catch Charlotte's North American
acting debut on Touched
By an Angel next Thursday, the 30th
of August on PAX TV. Although this
is a repeat of a nearly two year old
episode, it still attracts much interest
especially from new fans who haven't
seen it. You can read our feature on the
show here.
If you are looking for a way to own this
episode, we have a page
on that as well. Today's
special treat is streaming video and
captures of Charlotte's
appearance on the Oxygen Network's
"Exhale with Candice Bergen".
Many of you probably haven't seen this as
Oxygen, still a new network,
isn't widely distributed throughout North
America yet. This was originally aired on
the first of February, 2001 but was
recently repeated in August. It
features about 16 minutes worth of footage
including Charlotte
performing "Dream a Dream".
A must see indeed. Special thanks to our
own Joe Briggs and David Hanson for making
this available on the site. That
will wrap it up for today, check out the
minor facelift the
Chat received yesterday and as always
look for the latest discussion in the
Forums.

Hello
Charlotte Fans,
we're taking you back to Honolulu
today for a very special treat but first
lets get the news covered for
today. In
yesterday's update we promised a third
article from Billboard Magazine dated 11
August 2001 which was to include new info
about Charlotte's 4th album. Today we are
pleased to bring it to you on the
news page. If you haven't read this
article before than it will have some
new revelations for you about Charlotte's
4th effort. Thanks to MRB, UKMark and
Steve for making sure we had this
online. So
now, on to the exclusive from Honolulu...Today
we present a
video interview Charlotte gave with
Honolulu TV station KHON just before
her concert there. This was aired on 12
August 2001 and has never been seen
outside of Hawaii, until now. It's our
final addition to the Hawaii
Concert coverage and you can watch
it in HQ streaming Real Video or
download it to watch again. We also have
it available in LQ streaming and download
for dial-up modem users. However, Dave did
a really good job on these so dial-up
users won't lose much quality at
all. We think you'll all enjoy this
presentation very much. Finally,
John Reedy is back in the Literary Gallery
with a poem insipred by Honolulu, check
that out here.
Also notice we've added the Art Gallery to
the quick launch menu under the Pic of the
Day for easy access. That will do it this
weekend for CharlotteChurch.net, see
you in the
Forums and Chat
tonight. Also, be sure to tell a friend if
you haven't already to cast a vote for
CCFans in the Online Music Awards. Let the
would know your like what you see here.
There is more to come this week so stay
tuned.

Hello
Charlotte Fans,
it's mostly news updates for today so
we're going to be sending you to
the news page for all the details.
First up, Charlotte's making appearances
both in Billboard Magazine and on
Billboard 0nline. We have both
stories on the news page with a
third coming tomorrow from the magazine.
As you might have guessed they are
buzzing about her 4th album. Not much
new in the posts we have today but there
will likely be some in tomorrows
posting. One of the
billboard articles did have some
news in that the Cardiff Aid concert
titled "Showtime@TheStadium"
will be broadcast in North America on
BRAVO in November.
Plans for the
UK broadcast are still intact for a BBC
airing on Radio and TV scheduled for one
week after the concert. Also in the
news section is a article put out by
NME.com about some of the other acts at
the Cardiff event. This is going to be a
huge press event so stay tuned from
more. We're
pleased to say that our finest, Team
Europe will be in attendance. Speaking
of which, UKMark has sent over Charlotte's
appearance in the current issue of Now
Magazine in the UK titled
"Charlotte heading for Hollywood
Fame". They made an error
in calling Dream a Dream, Voice of an
Angel but enjoy it nonetheless. That's
the update for today, more to come this
weekend. Oh yeah, remember to vote:)

Hello
Charlotte Fans,
today we add the close to finishing
touches on the Honolulu,
Hawaii Concert Coverage. Additions
today include a
great summary by Colleen and a
scan of the concert program also by
Colleen. After reading that
you'll have a good idea of what
the atmosphere was like as well as the
complete listing of all songs performed.
There is still more to come from
Honolulu though but that won't be until
this weekend when a video of a TV
interview Charlotte gave arrives.
Speaking of videos, as you'll read in
the press sidebar attached
to the Honolulu Summary there was
quite a professional video camera presence
at the concert so don't be too surprised
if you see this concert on a small
screen near you in the not so distant
future. Also
today we have a new contributor to the
Literary Gallery, this time it's Claire
Hachard's turn with her contribution
titled "A
Shining Star" which was
inspired by Charlotte's
San Diego performance last month. There
has been plenty going on in
the forums including a nice find by mater-et-magistra
it's a video interview Charlotte did with
Sweet16.com. You can find it on the
News Page. Worth a peek if you haven't
seen it. That
is the quick update for today, look for
some exclusive captures/video from
Charlotte's appearance on the Oxygen
Network this weekend. Until then remember
to vote!

Hello
Charlotte Fans,
today we've started our coverage
of Charlotte's Honolulu Concert held
on Saturday the 11th. Included in that
coverage is an excellent
pre-concert interview conducted by The
Honolulu Advertiser and one of the
only photos from the concert. Expect
a fan summary of the event sometime this
week. Early word was that Charlotte had
yet another outstanding performance
despite the fact she suffered some minor
foot/leg pain after a hiking trip
earlier in the day. As
you've probably seen, the
news page has been getting a workout
after several releases in the past few
days, the most recent being news that
Wyclef Jean, will accompany Charlotte on
her 4th album. As usual check the
news page for full details. Many
of you have been asking for ticketing info
for the
Cardiff Aids benefit concert and UKMark
has compiled all the info you're likely to
need to obtain great seats to this event
in which Charlotte is one of the headline
performers. Everything you need to know is
here.
Obtaining these tickets was a little
tricky but Mark has provided you with
proven contact #'s and info to ensure your
experience is trouble free. That
will about do it for today, Charlotte is
on a two-week holiday in Hawaii as
mentioned in our last update, so other
than new 4th Album info we don't anticipate
much news. As such, we'll be doing a bit
of much needed maintenance at the site.
We're also working on adding quite an
interesting contribution to the Literary
Gallery which hopefully will make it's way
up this week. As always, check the
Forums and chat
for the up to the minute buzz on
Charlotte.-

Hello
Charlotte Fans,
it's another quick one for today, the
eve of Charlotte's Concert in Honolulu,
Hawaii. For today we have The
September 2001 issue of ClassicFM
in which Charlotte appears for their
cover story about the Hyde Park Concert
held last month. It is a great
complement to our
Hyde Park 2001 Coverage. Check it
out. Thanks again to UKMark for
getting this to us early as usual.
Charlotte
is also making a switch, as reported by
Billboard to Columbia Records from Sony
Classical starting with her 4th effort. Read
about it here. Just to eliminate any
confusion, Columbia is one of the many
labels owned by Sony Music.
As
mentioned throughout the week, Charlotte
will be performing at the
Neal S. Blaisdell
Center in Honolulu, tomorrow night. We
hope to have some reports from the
concert by the end of the weekend or
early next week. After the concert,
Charlotte will be taking a well deserved
two week holiday before a busy end of
summer/early autumn concert and
promotional tour. That's
all for now keep checking back for the
latest.

Hello
Charlotte Fans,
it has been a quiet few days as we await
news from the concert in Honolulu on the
11th but nonetheless there are quite a
few things that have been added since
the last update. First
up, the
Chatroom has received a service
update to address bug issues you told us
about during the past week. Thanks
to all the regulars in the chat for
helping in this process. Although
there hasn't been much news in the past
few days we do have some items to add to
our magazine archive. The following are
some old and older articles that are being
added for the first time. Thanks to Monica
for tracking these down:
Who Weekly, "Star Tracks " (May 14, 2001)
Wal-Mart Profile on Entertainment (December - January 2001) "Church
Goer"
People Magazine "Charlotte Church Profile " (December 31, 1999 )
TV Guide "A Sunday Appointment with Church" (Nov 6-12 1999 )
There
has been an update to the Literary
Gallery featuring a
new poem by Kenneth Shockley titled
"True Friends" and we
welcome new contributor, John Wheeler with
his contribution of a
Charlotte Haiku Set. Be sure to check
those out. Finally,
seems like last years Online Music Awards
were just yesterday, but we're up for the
Dotmusic Peoples Choice Award yet again
for 2001. Last year, you may recall we received
a Top 100 placement at #52 out of over
2100 sites entered.
This year we are
looking to do even better, so, if you like what you see
here at CharlotteChurch.net please give us two minutes
of your time. Simply click the logo below or at the top of
the page, it's as simple as that. Just for voting you are
automatically entered to win a Technics Stereo System from
Dotmusic. Thanks for your support! -

Hello
Charlotte Fans,
it's the start of a new month and as
often happens, we've got news to report.
This time it's going to be a world
exclusive: Charlotte's 4th album has an
expected name. Read the news
brief here. Now that you are in the
know, see what other fans have to say in
the
Forums. Continue to check
CharlotteChurch.net for all the
latest on Charlotte's 4th. In
other news, we've updated the
Dallas, Texas concert listings to
include general seating prices. Quite a
few of you have written in telling us
you'll be attending which is great. From
what we've heard, Myerson Symphony
Center is one of the most impressive
venues in the USA combining visual beauty
with amazing sound quality. If you have a
way to get there, this is one concert
that's not to be missed. Some
completed concerts got some updates today
as well. Cheryl contributed some great
shots from Hollywood
Bowl, taken on July 21st. Take a peek
at these here.
Also, UKMark has sent us the
official Team Europe Photo from Hyde
Park. Look for their book, 'CharlotteChurchFans
International: Our Lives So Far' to be in
a bookstore near you :) Finally,
we want to tell you a bit about our latest
addition to the site, CharlotteChat
3.0. As we mentioned in the last
update our chat software was being
upgraded to a new, more powerful
version. We're pleased to announce the
upgrade was a success and the new chat is
running as you read this. However, there
have been some important changes made to
address security issues. Most notable of
these is the merging of CharlotteChurchFans
Forums with
CharlotteChat. Basically what this
means is, when you register at the
forums you now can use your id and
password to access CharlotteChat.
However,
those
wishing to chat but not participate in the
forums still must register at the
forums to gain access. The
overall goal of this change is to increase
security and give members of the site two
great services all under one unified
login. As always, this is all free of
charge and open worldwide. We will have a
detailed help/info page up on the new
interactive services here this weekend.
Until then, stay tuned for the
latest.
