Just
as our previous site update 'went to press', news was
breaking about Charlotte making a 'sensational
surprise appearance' at the Cardiff Mardi Gras -
September 4th. Sure enough, Charlotte did appear on
stage at the Mardi Gras and, by all accounts, gave a
great performance. Our feature
has
pictures and media coverage of the event, together
with a brief video clip and captures of Charlotte
singing one of the tracks from her forthcoming
album.
7th September, Charlotte was in London for the 'GQ Men
Of The year Awards' at the Royal Opera House. Until we
can get a feature together, the best place for
information and pictures from the evening is in our forums.
17th
September, and Charlotte was attending a function to
raise money for one of Wales' leading youth charities.
Le Gallois restaurant in Cardiff was the venue for a
fashion show in aid of Western spirit, a
charity co-founded by Welsh Falklands war veteran, Simon
Weston. The charity helps disadvantaged young people
find work and develop skills, aiming to build their self
esteem. Not a lot of coverage for this event, but again
we have a press article and picture in our
forum
thread.
Finally, a reminder that the CD 'Passion of the Christ -
Songs' has just been released in the USA and UK and
features a brand new track from Charlotte called
'Finding My Own Way'. In stores now!
Until next time, thank you.

It
looks
as if Charlotte has taken a shine to Cricket! Back in
June we saw Charlotte challenging the Lord's Taverners as
part of the Paramount Celebrity XI team in Cardiff.
Early August and Charlotte was bowling again for the
Lady Taverners at Lord's Cricket ground, London. We have
pictures of the latest game at Lord's
from OK! magazine. To see how Charlotte's bowling action
has improved, take another look at our feature on
the Cardiff
game. Both events were staged to support the Lords/Lady
Taverners cause of raising money for children with
special needs.
Designer
discount store TK Maxx (UK) has launched the 'GiveGet
Campaign' to raise money for Cancer Research UK. They
are asking everyone to donate their old clothes. To
support the campaign, a number of celebrities have
donated garments of their own and have posed for new
pictures. Charlotte is amongst those celebrities
featured in the October edition of marie
claire
magazine as they run an article on the campaign.
Charlotte
has recorded a new song for the CD 'Passion of the
Christ - Songs'. Finding My Own Way is amongst
12 tracks by various artistes on the CD inspired by
the Mel Gibson movie, timed to coincide with the DVD
release. The CD is released in the US on August 31st
and in the UK on September 6th. Excerpts
from all of the tracks can be found on the official
website for the CD.
A
story started in the UK press last week about changes to
the release date for Charlotte's forthcoming CD. We have
no official news on the release schedule for the CD and,
until we hear otherwise, consider these stories to
be little more than 'tabloid rumours'. To the best
of our knowledge, no date has ever been officially
published and is unlikely to be until a month or so
before the planned release. This is standard practice
for the music industry - plans can change by the
day!
Stop
Press: Reports are just coming in about Charlotte
making a 'sensational surprise performance' at the
Cardiff Lesbian & Gay Mardi Gras yesterday
(September 4th). More about this exciting event as and
when we receive it.
Until next time, thank you.
