Enchantment.Album|Charlotte spreads her wings | |||||||||||||||||||
One could argue that Enchantment is the most anticipated album ever from Charlotte. Ever since Charlotte's last release, Dream a Dream, a collection of holiday favourites, fans have wondered what Charlotte could achieve with some truly different material. At the start of 2001, another album seemed like a very remote possibility, however, in February, Charlotte started a ground breaking concert tour and gradually began to integrate new material. Charlotte's masterful interpretations of popular Broadway music gave a glimpse into the future and indeed many of these new pieces would eventually find a home on Enchantment. In July 2001, the 4th effort was officially announced and shortly after possible titles for the album started floating about including the top candidates, "From My First Moment" and "Enchantment". Charlotte eventually settled on Enchantment and broke the news while performing in Hawaii. Enchantment,
promises a taste of diverse musical styles: think eclectic pop songs alongside Broadway musical hits and classical melodies nestling next to Celtic ballads. In September 2001, Charlotte performed tracks from Enchantment at her first solo concert in Cardiff, Wales. This concert will also eventually be broadcast in the USA and UK.
