"Carousel of Hope" Appearance Summary by Mark (Editor-In-Chief)

Charlotte's second stop on her California tour took her to one of the most prestigious events in Hollywood the "Carousel of Hope" Ball. Nothing short of the Oscars draws more celebrities than this event to benefit Diabetes Research. Charlotte was among many other musical guests to perform at the event including the ever popular Latin sensation Ricky Martin.

Just like any other big Hollywood gathering, much of the talk isn't about what the event actually stands for but what the stars are doing and wearing. Much of the television coverage focused solely on the so called "red carpet" entrances and Charlotte thankfully was adequately covered.

Charlotte wore a beautiful red dress that supposedly cost 5,000 US Dollars, quite a bargain :) After entering the Wilshire Theatre, Charlotte entertained guests by singing "Bai Hali", the song she has recently been singing at most of her live concerts.

The rest of the night was described as having a spectacular ball atmosphere and it's quite certain that the stars had a great time rubbing elbows with each other.

Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood both had coverage of the event but sadly Charlotte was only shown for about 4 seconds on ET and wasn't even mentioned at all on Access Hollywood.  Apparently, the earth shattering news that Michael Jackson and Liz Taylor are together was the spectacle of the event and thus received the most coverage.

In the end lets just hope that the original mission wasn't clouded with all the hype. It was said that this event was able to raise $6 million for Diabetes research and I hope it did however you can't help but wonder if the stars would have given that much just to have a ball anyways. That's an entirely different issue altogether though and as far as Charlotte fans are concerned this was simply a big event for Charlotte that once again confirmed her status among the most elite of stars.
