to Monica Channel 2 Pau Hana interviewer: "She has sold 8 million albums. Performed for Presidents the Queen and the Pope and is just 15 years old. Welsh soprano Charlotte Church performed for Honolulu last night and sat down with us for a Pau Hana chat earlier in the week to talk about her life and music." Charlotte in shown singing:
"Tonite Tonite won't be just any night tonite there will be no morning stars" [while the video clip continues showing Charlotte singing the interviwer talks.] "Her voice is described as simply angelic and has earned her accolades and invitations from some of the most distinguished people on the planet. Charlotte Church began singing classes at nine and says her vocal marriage to classical music was almost accidental." Charlotte: "We tried you know kinda some classical singing and its like I was like ohh thats really different I quite like that." Interviewer: " She's been a big world star now for 3 years. She travels incessantly to perform, but says she rarely gets to actually see the places she's going to because of her schedule." Charlotte: "I do get home sick and I miss my friends and everything. But ummm you know I go back home and I have sleep overs and I go to house parties and I do all the usual fifteen year old stuff." Interviewer: "In person Church has all the energy and sense of fun one would wish for a 15 year old, with the mischevious sense of humour about the stress her schedule and fame can bring." Charlotte: " I don't do like yoga or anything to get it out of my system. I just scream at my parents. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. No my poor parents they do take a lot of ummm .. a lot of cheek off me but you know ... they ... they don't mind." Interviewer: " Actually they're quite proud of a teenage daughter who can give this answer when asked her greatest accomplisment so far." Charlotte: " Ohhhh that's difficult. I'd probably say singing for two presidents. Yeah I sang for Bush and I sang for Clinton. So that was kinda cool." Interviewer: "As for cool concert locations .. topping her list is Brazil and you guessed it .." Charlotte: "Hawaii is just gorgeous. And it's sun and it's just like paradise. I mean in Britain it's always so rainy and so miserable and the people here are so nice and when my agent said uhh a gig's come in for you in Hawaii, I was like Yes Lets Go." Brief clip of Charl singing the word "REQUIEM" from Pie Jesu ends the video feed.
