Charlotte's role in programme:
Featured Guest
Charlotte's
appearance on Live with Regis was her first since Kathy Lee
Gifford left the show this year. For those of you that
haven't heard of Live with Regis here is a brief intro.
Live
with Regis is a morning show hosted by Regis Philbin of
"Who Wants to Be a Millionare" Fame. As I
mentioned earlier this show was originally called Live! with
Regis and Kathy Lee but after Kathy Lee left they switched
the show to a guest host format. This means that every show
has a different guest host sitting next to Regis to conduct
interviews and to serve as entertainment as well.
Before
I go on let me just say that Charlotte WASN'T the guest
host, it was Chevy Chase, a popular actor in the states.
During
the beginning of the show when Regis and Chevy were talking
about the guest list for today both said very positive words
about Charlotte and her latest CD. In addition to this, they
showed clips from "The
Making of Dream a Dream" video before each
commercial break. The
overall of effect of this was great because by the time
Charlotte was ready to come out I believe anyone watching
the show would have been thoroughly interested to see
exactly what all the fuss was about.
Finally
Charlotte made her appearance after being introduced by
Regis as "a musical prodigy, a young girl with a big
voice".

As
you'll see on the Video
Charlotte , Regis and Chevy had quite a nice little chat.
There were no out of the ordinary questions but Charlotte did
mention she was reading the complete works of Plato which
Regis found interesting.
Regis:
"What is the one thing you can pass on to us that you
have learned from Plato?"
Charlotte
instantly came up with a response...
Charlotte:
"There
is a really good saying: 'Fear is the biggest part of Shame'
"
The
three continued to talk, for about a minute more mostly about
Plato. Regis got on Chevy's case when he said he read
"The Republic" telling Charlotte "don't believe
him". After this short Q&A session was over there was
a commercial break. When the break returned Charlotte took the
stage to sing "What Child is This". Once again
Charlotte did an incredible job with this song and many said
it sounded better than the CD. Remember you can watch the
entire song in the Video. Like
she has in the past Charlotte received a great amount of
applause after her performance. You could honestly tell that
both Chevy and Regis as well as the crowd were impressed.
We
are about half way though this Holiday Tour now and I have to
say Charlotte has blown away every audience she has been in
front of. This has boosted album sales noticeably and most
importantly has gained Charlotte even more fans. Be sure to
watch the Video of Live with Regis and stay tuned as we cover
