Like
most 14-year-old schoolgirls, Charlotte Church has a long
Christmas wish list, with make-up, jewelry, clothes and CD's
featuring high on the agenda. However, rather than the
glamorous designer outfits and glittering jewels that you'd
expect one of Britain's top stars to crave in her stocking,
Charlotte is fonder of the simpler things in life,
preferring Topshop to Versace. In fact, the down-to-earth
teenager is so delighted to be spending time at home in
Wales over the Christmas season that presents come a poor
second to planning family celebrations.
After
a hectic schedule that has taken Charlotte across the globe
promoting her latest album, Dream a Dream. OK! caught
up with the teenager and her mum, Maria, and dad, James at
their new Cardiff home. Apart from discussing their
Christmas plans, Charlotte and her parents spoke candidly
about their dreams for the future and how they have overcome
the trauma of their recent court case involving Charlotte's
former manager, Jonathan Shalit.
Charlotte,
tell us how you intend to celebrate Christmas?
"We've
recently moved into this house, which is big enough to fit
all my family in. My nan, grandfather, auntie, her partner
and son are all coming to stay on Christmas eve, so that
will be good fun. On Christmas Day, my nan and auntie will
cook a huge lunch, then half the family will fall asleep and
the rest will stay up and play really sad board games. In
the evening, we'll either go to a local pub run by one of my
cousins and have a big party, or we'll visit my auntie
Frances." |
