Above: Like any teenage girl, Charlotte says she would like clothes, jewelry and shoes for Christmas. However, she is very down to earth and, despite her multi-million pound fortune, has simple tastes. 'I'm a fan of High Street stores like Morgan, Topshop and H&M, but I also pick up loads of clothes when I'm traveling,' she says. 'If I'm buying clothes, then I'll go to Topshop, but if someone else is paying, than I prefer DKNY.

You're really an amazing success story. Is it true that you shot to fame after singing Pie Jesu during a phone-in for talented children on This Morning?

Yes. When I was ten, I sang live on air and was later asked to perform at the Royal Albert Hall. But what got me noticed was when I sang on Jonathan Ross's The Big, Big Talent Show, through which I got a record deal. I've never been nervous about singing in public as I was just eight years old when I started singing solo at St. Mary's Church Hall in Cardiff. The only time I felt a bit worried was when I sang for the Pope.

You have visited more parts of the world than many of us will ever see, but you seem to have a great affinity with Wales.

Every Welsh person has a huge amount of national pride, just because it has been bred into us through the generations. I've traveled to some amazing places, but I love coming home, although I think it rains too much!

Despite living a jet-set lifestyle, there must have been times when you're alone in your hotel room in a foreign country, wishing you were having fun with your school friends back in Cardiff?

I'm always working, plus, I have three hours of schooling a day, so I don't really have any time to miss home. Even when I'm going to sleep I don't really think about things, because I'm so tired.

But you must occasionally feel lonely and isolated?

Sometimes, but not often, because I just call my friends and have a chat with them about the latest gossip, which gives me normality. When I return home, I love to find out about everything that's been going on, but my mobile keeps me updated if I'm abroad.
