How
do you brighten up a damp day in Toronto? Have Charlotte
Church come for a visit!
On the 13th of November 2000 , I had the pleasure of
witnessing Charlotte’s first public visit to Toronto,
and it was magical to say the least.
Showing off her sense of humour, she was surprised by
the size of the crowd, as she was “expecting only my mum
and dad to show up, saying sing something, Charlotte.”
As it was, there were over 800 people in attendance
all different ages, all mesmerized by Charlotte’s
performance. She
offered us a sample of the Dream a Dream album singing the
title song “Dream a Dream” and “The Christmas Song
(Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire).
While the appearance was all too brief, it was
wonderful while it lasted.
