In
addition to Charlotte's 18
September Cardiff Concert date she also took part in a very special live aid event titled
"Showtime at The Stadium" on the 20th of October.
Concert proceeds went to benefit the Red Hot AIDS Charitable
Trust. In addition the concert was broadcast on BBC Radio
Wales and Radio 2 live. In November it will be shown on BBC One
and possibly Bravo in North America.
The
venue for this event was the spectacular Millennium
Stadium, one of the true modern landmarks of Cardiff,
Wales. Those of you with a good memory will be able to
recall Charlotte
singing at this very venue, New Years Eve 2000, to help
ring in the new Millennium. At that event, Charlotte sang
"Just Wave Hello" before Welsh Rockers, Manic
Street Preachers took to the stage. This time
Charlotte sang three songs: "Somewhere", "Don't
Rain on my Parade" and "You'll Never Walk
Alone", along side some of the most exciting acts in
the business.
