Teen soprano Charlotte Church has been announced as one of the support acts for Pavarotti's summer opera in the park. The Welsh singer will join classical artist Russell Watson and violinist Vanessa Mae on stage for the Hyde Park Charity Concert in July.

It may have been something to do with Pavarotti's appetite or it may just have been something to do with the sponsors, that explained why the young support line up for this summers opera extravaganza were introduced to the media in a Pizza kitchen.
Charlotte Church, Russell Watson and Vanessa Mae weren't even born when Pavarotti started. They grew up revering the mighty maestro and now they find themselves booked to perform with him.

Charlotte: "Pavarotti's one of the greatest tenors of our century so it's a huge honour to be performing with him in Hyde Park. At first I wasn't able to do it because I was doing a date in the Hollywood Bowl, so we like begged the Hollywood Bowl - please can you have it another day because I really want to go and do this thing in Hyde Park."

The three young stars don't seem to have much of a future in Pizza dough tossing. Fortunately, they have other talents.

Russell, Charlotte and Vanessa appear with Pavarotti in Hyde Park on the 14th of July.
