Charlotte's
First In-Store Appearance in the US is a Show Stopper

The
KCET Store of knowledge managed to get Charlotte to make her first
ever In Store Signing appearance. This was made possible through the
able CEO of all 92 Stores James E. Berk and her able marketing and
promotion manager Karen Hart as the head organizer and coordinator
of this spectacular event.
Although James E. Berk and Karen Hart were limited in time and
preparation, the event was truly successful and memorable. Fans came
as early as 6:00 A.M in the morning of February 5th for an event
that would start at 3:00 P.M. in the Afternoon
The one responsible in selecting the appropriate Store location was
CEO James E.Berk despite some opposition. It was Indeed the right
place ….Newport Beach Fashion Island, in Southern California.

All the employees of this KCET Store were wearing Charlotte church
Buttons and T-shirts with Charlotte's picture at the back. This
alone attracted a lot of attention. To my surprise, the Fans are not
just teenagers, or just adults, Or elderly people. The Fans are
composed of families yes whole
Families with their young toddling as young as 2 years old Who
listens to Charlotte everyday. I asked a five year old girl why she
likes Charlotte and she said "because she is pretty."
At about 2:30, word came that Charlotte is on her way from the
airport. According to Karen Hart, she wants to eat pizza and have
lunch first before signing autographs.
At exactly 3:05, the news photographs including yours truly was
asked to watch for Charlotte were she will be walking along the
aisle where the people where lined up. We saw from about 50 yards,
Charlotte with her usual entourage which are her mom on her left and
her Dad on Her right. She was wearing a fatigue color pants and
shirts With orange sleeves. She was also wearing eyeglasses.

The news photographers including those from Vanity started firing
like machine gun fire their light bulbs. Charlotte went in the Store
and took courtesy pictures with some people including CEO James E.
Berk and some from Sony.
Then the news photographers requested Charlotte to stand in front of
the Table where she will signing and she willingly obliged them.
Again a barrage of clicking took place. They requested pictures of
her with her parents James and Maria twice.
Before she started signing, she called to her Mom for Her hairbrush
and she actually brushed her beautiful bright Auburn hair. She is
truly astonishingly beautiful Magnetic and Charming.
By now there were at least three thousand people in line exceeding
the cordoned length the Store was allowed. While we were told that
the fans were only allowed one signature each and that no pictures
beside her was allowed, it was really up to Charlotte who willingly
took pictures beside her fans.
The real lucky ones were the Children. Charlotte would pick them up
and pose for pictures. She seems to love children a lot, and her
smile yes her megawatt smile never left her.

Fans in Wheel Chairs came and Charlotte without hesitation stood up
and went on the other side of the table so more pictures could be
taken. Yes Indeed Charlotte signed for each fan two or more CD
covers. One Teenager gave her a giant painting which the Fan proudly
presented to her.
While she was only to stay for two hours Charlotte stayed for
another 45 minutes and even then about 750 people were not able to
meet her. She probably signed 4500 times since each Fan had at least
two CDs for signature.
