Ah,
little Charlotte!
The things I have learned about
Your dear countrymen!
They came from afar;
From where, they can't imagine.
They don't remember.
The same was true of
Your Anglo-Saxon-Celtic
Neighbors, and others.
I wish you and all
Knew of your true heritage --
Sooner, not later.
As you roam the world,
Know your kin have gone before,
Making paths for you.
