Dearest
Little Valley Girl
by John
Reedy
Little “Cardiff valley girl”
“Love and bubbles” fair
So dearly loved wherever you go
So welcome eve’rywhere!
You’re thronged by crowds of adoring fans
Who’d be crazy not to be there.
Delightful bit o’ patter, precocious bundle of joy,
Genuine magic in your spell, pleasing professional ploy
You give us what we’ve come to hear and see
And you give us so much more
No wonder we love you so dearly,
Come flocking to your door
Sweetest little songbird, you give us what we crave
And though you’re still kinda little, so gifted, so very brave
Lovely as can be—
Sweetest ever heard
Precious little lady fair
By your presence stirred
We love to see and hear you,
Can never get enough
Dearer than all the rest combined,
Our diamond in the rough
Shine in all your facets
Polish and refine
Glow with heavenly goodness
Enigma divine!
You’ve lifted our souls with your loveliness,
Charmed by God’s design,
Dearest little “valley girl”—
Warmly yours and mine.
