Bright  Eyes

by John Reedy

Rarely in a lifetime do we see anyone rise to such prominence so quickly, one world-renowned and admired to such a degree as this precious angelic beauty. I’m inclined to believe she’s only just getting started. Her star will yet rise twice as bright within the next four years because the world still needs angels. She will yet rank with Julie Andrews, Doris Day, Judy Garland, and Shirley Temple, etc. She’s a very special young lady— a lovely young person with a heavenly voice. She’s got “it”, as her mother has said. And what is more, she has a level of maturity far beyond her years, though she’s quick to remind us she’s but a 15 year-old child. Thriving in spite of the dramatic contrast in her “two lives” is a testimonial to her family’s love and support as well as her own level-headedness. Her sweet presence is truly magical not only because she’s so lovely and sings so beautifully, but also because she’s so at ease with everyone and so present, sensitive, gentle, courteous, and loving. Add to that her brilliant sense of humor, whether she is in a one-on-one or performing in an amphitheatre filled with appreciative fans, her glittering sense of fun is so very refreshing in a world where many of us are looking for uplifting and inspiring general audience entertainment in a world where the vulgar and ugly are thrust upon us as though they were something virtuous to seek after. We love sharing good laughs with her, an evening of pure pleasure and music appreciation. All these things make her all that more appealing, a delight to behold, for which the lucky few don’t hesitate to fork over upwards of $50 a ticket to see her up close and who gladly travel great distances to keep “A Date With An Angel”. Her touching performances, her ability to reach everyone in the audience, her bright eyes and beautiful smile are worth it at any cost. May our all-wise benevolent God of infinite love and wisdom continue to bless us all and our dear little darling ambassador of all that is good to all the nations of the world—our globetrotter extraordinaire. Hooray for our dear young Charlotte, international superstar, champion sine qua non!!
