Lets get this out of the way first, "The Making of dream a dream" is not the easiest to find video by a long shot, in fact many of you won't be able to even get your hands on it unless you live near a Borders Books and Music store.  There is a possibility that it will eventually become part of the official "Charlotte Church in the Holy Land" presentation but nothing is solid yet. Yet despite these availability problems, "The Making of dream a dream" is easily the best pieces of footage to come out this year.

Essentially the purpose of this video is to go behind the scenes of the creation of the album "Dream a Dream" and the filming of "Charlotte Church in the Holy Land" but longtime fans, especially CharlotteChurch.net viewers will find this to be a real diamond in the rough.

As I said earlier, this isn't the easiest video to obtain. Currently the only way you can get it is to go to a Borders Books and Music and purchase a Charlotte CD. The video is free as part of their promotional offer. There is a possibility this video segment will be aired as part of the "Charlotte Church in the Holy Land" presentation in both the USA and the UK but again nothing has been said yet. Heck, it might even show up on the DVD but again we won't know until we see it.

Now on to the contents of the video. The opening is quite dramatic with Charlotte singing "dream a dream" as various shots of the recording process, her trip to Israel, her photo shoot and her concert to Israel flash by. Next Charlotte begins talking about all that has changed in the past year, presumably to bring us up to date since her last video release. A wide variety of topics are discussed including talk about a possible movie role which she says she can't talk about yet.

Next up, Charlotte talks about her favorite places including Rome but she mentions she really really wants to visit Egypt. She plans to go when she is 18 so she doesn't have to bring her parents along :) While on the subject of parents she talks about how she's a bit of a "daddy's girl" because she always goes to her dad when she asks for money but she also says she can be a bit of a "mummy's girl" when she wants to as well.

The video then shows portions from the photo shoot as well as the concert in Israel. Charlotte talks about how it took 7 days to record "dream a dream" and she also discusses her technique of warming up and getting ready to sing. Overall, Charlotte thinks "When a Child is Born" came out the best on "dream a dream" because of it's unique tribal sound. On the subject of music Charlotte begins to discuss her current CD collection.

The next segment in the video discusses Charlotte's trip to Israel to record "Charlotte Church in the Holy Land". Charlotte describes Israel as being hot and she talks a bit about the Christmas concert she gave in the same abbey where the Last Supper was held  which will form the basis for CCITHL. Also shown is some footage of Charlotte riding a camel in the desert as she describes what it is like to navigate the sand dunes on top of one.

The final and in my opinion, best segment of the video is when Charlotte begins to talk more about her life again.  Not since "Heroes for the Planet" has there been a candid session like this and it comes across quite splendidly. Charlotte first talks about the best bits of her career, she mentions she really enjoys doing concerts and she loves the free clothes she gets. Having her hair and makeup done all the time and meeting famous people are another one of the best parts of being famous according to Charlotte.

It is after this that Charlotte says "The other day I was typing something up on my computer and I just happened to come across The Charlotte Church website...." This is where this video becomes particularly interesting since Charlotte then goes on to talk about CharlotteChurch.net while the video shows this very site. Really cool if you ask me :) Read the section entitled "Please don't erase this one" to learn what Charlotte was talking about as the point in this section is to summarise:)

After that Charlotte continues talking about her life yet again and gives yet another set of three words to describe herself "Cheeky, Fun and Moody". When asked what her worst quality is she simply replies "Of course, I don't have any. I'm an angel" as she smirks.

Overall, this video is a great addition to all your collections out there. It is very hard to find for some of you but the work will be worth the effort. Some of you, unfortunately will never be able to come across this especially if you aren't in the UK or the USA so we have provided you a complete set of clips as well as a video for your enjoyment. I'd like to thank Sony UK and Charlotte herself for allowing CharlotteChurch.net to appear on this video. It is quite an honour and I'll be the first to say we are ready for the traffic! This is a tribute to all who have worked to make this site what it is. Special thanks go to Dave and Joe for getting me all the contents for this feature on time, thanks a lot guys! Enjoy the clips and remember to read "Please don't erase this one" to learn what Charlotte was talking about in the video.
