Charlotte interview in "To

This is something we've been wanting to bring
to you for quite a while now, it's an interview given by Charlotte
to the Greek Newspaper "To Vima" during the pre-concert
press period before her Athens concert, back in March. However, this
interview was actually conducted in Cardiff, as you will read, on 3
March.
Certainly one might think that there isn't much to get excited about
with a over 2 month old interview but after reading I think you'll
agree this one is quite different from all the others Charlotte has
given over the years. Cheers to Thanassis Lalas, the interviewer for
finally breaking the mold as far as questions go.
Biggest thanks go to Dimitris Kyranas for translating this from the
original Greek text which you can download should you wonder why
this took so long. What you will read is not a one for one
translation but it does give you a very good idea of what Charlotte
was saying.

CHARLOTTE Church was quick with her retorts on the Frank Skinner show - but she'll have her work cut out against the sharp tongues of Paul Merton and Ian Hislop this
Friday.
The 16-year-old is set to make her debut appearance on cult BBC show Have I Got News For You, and the producers think she'll be more than up to the challenge of being its youngest-ever guest.
It's the first time Charlotte has been asked to appear on the show where host Angus Deayton and the two team captains regularly make mincemeat of their guests, who have included a tub of lard standing in for Roy Hattersley and Elton John's
look-alike.
The BBC decided to invite her to be a guest after having their oldest-ever guest, newspaper man and politician Lord Bill
Deedes, on the show.
A BBC spokeswoman said: "We have just had our oldest ever guest so it will be great to have Charlotte on as our youngest-ever this Friday. We think she will bring a fresh, uncynical view.
"We're really looking forward to having her on. She may be only 16 but people forget she's met Bill Clinton, President Bush, Tony Blair and the Queen. I don't think we've ever had someone on before who's met so many significant-CARDIFF residents will notice more than just cleaner streets next time they bump into one of the council's team of road sweepers.
For all the staff on the council's street cleansing team have gone through Welcome Host training and now provide assistance to the city's residents and many visitors.
A Cardiff council spokesman said street cleaners were a recognised presence within the community and customer care training was part of a wider strategy aimed at improving the service provided to council customers and in the long-term will help develop closer links between the workforce and the community.

"Charlotte is very bright and intelligent and this will be a chance to get her personality-across.

TEEN singer Charlotte Church has lent her voice to the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign by narrating a book for its new series of children's stories.
She has recorded one of the tales about the adventures of Montague Dragon, penned by Worcestershire author Haydn
Bebb, on audio tape and is fronting the fund-raising campaign.
The books are aimed at children aged from three to eight and were launched by Charlotte in January.
The stories, following the adventures of Monty and a host of woodland friends, are told in rhyme and a cassette containing the story and related songs accompanies each book.
The Lonely Dragon, the first of 16 proposed titles, is available at branches of
Waterstones, WH Smith and Sainsbury's.
Charlotte, who has sold millions of albums and has fans all over the world, including the Pope, has now recorded the second title, A Frosty Encounter, at her Cardiff home and it is due to be released later this month.
She said, "I am delighted to support Monty and the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign and I am thrilled to have been asked to act as figurehead.
"I really enjoyed recording the story and will be supporting Monty and his new friends in their future adventures."
Charlotte already hosts a section on the Monty website where children can ask questions about the stories and about muscular dystrophy, a progressive disease which causes muscle wasting and weakness.
She said, "I fully support Monty's aims and ideas. "The stories are all about helping friends. "There are also lots of future projects planned which will be designed to help children with their reading and writing skills."
The executive director of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, Christine
Cryne, said she was delighted to have Charlotte's high-profile support to raise awareness of the condition.
"The donations from book sales will go towards vital research and Montague Dragon will help increase awareness of this debilitating disease for which there is no cure," she said.
After the publication of the second book there will a series of Montague Dragon workshops across the country which will be a springboard for national competitions.
Younger children will be invited to create a character for a future Monty story and the winner will see their contribution hit the shelves in the autumn.

Charlotte Church is to make a guest appearance
on BBC2's satirical news quiz Have I Got News For You? a week on
Friday. As well as the show's regulars Ian Hislop, Paul Merton and
Angus Deayton, the 16-year-old Welsh singing sensation will compete
against comedian Ben Miller. A spokeswoman for the show said, 'We
look to get a good cross-section of guests on the programme and
Charlotte is prominent and in the public eye. We thought it would be
interesting to see what kind of take on the news someone of her age

Teenager singer Charlotte Church is planning to join Ian Botham on the final stages of his charity walk for the Noah's Ark Appeal this month.
The 16-year-old will walk alongside Welsh actress Catherine Zeta Jones for the last two miles of the former cricketer's trek from Machynlleth to Cardiff on Saturday 27 April.
The nine-day walk, which begins on Friday 19 April, aims to raise vital funds for a new Children's Hospital for Wales.
Charity patron Church is also due to attend, and perform at, a gala fundraising dinner at Sophia Gardens on the Saturday night after the walk finishes.
Zeta Jones is also expected at the dinner, which is being hosted by Cardiff Lord Mayor Russell
Goodway.
The Noah's Ark Appeal launched in 2000 with the aim of raising £5m to build the first phase of a £21m paediatric care unit in the capital.
Ian Botham's 229-mile walk hopes to raise £250,000 towards the hospital project.
"We are expecting thousands of walkers to join us on the Lord Mayor's Walk from the Oval Basin in Cardiff Bay, where family entertainment will follow the official end of the walk," said
Botham.
Swansea-born Zeta Jones, 32, is flying home especially to back his fundraising efforts.
"I am thrilled to be able to play a small part in celebrating the completion of his trek across Wales which has been so well supported by so many people across the country," said Zeta Jones.
Insufficient facilities
Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust has already provided the site and infrastructure and the Welsh Assembly has pledged an extra £4.5m on completion of phase one.
Relatives of some young patients have claimed paediatric facilities at the University of Wales Hospital in Cardiff are insufficient.
They kick-started the campaign to create a dedicated, 50-bed centre with two wards and a child-friendly warmth.
Wales is the only European country not to have such a hospital dedicated to treating sick children.

O'Leary is to host an auction of items such as Simon Cowell's
trousers and Paul Weller's electric guitar.
The charity event is organised by Heat magazine and takes place at
London's Park Lane Hotel on Wednesday.
Celebrities expected to attend include Graham Norton, Caprice, Sara
Cox, Charlotte Church, Boy George, and Neil and Christine Hamilton.
Proceeds from the auction will go to HIV and Aids charity Crusaid.
Last year's auction raised £100,000 and saw Graham Norton bid
nearly £10,000 for a Herb Ritts picture of Madonna's eyes. - Ananova

Zeta Jones To Join Botham On Welsh Charity Walk
Catherine Zeta Jones is to join Ian Botham on the last stage of a 220-mile fundraising walk later this month.
Botham is walking from Machynlleth in mid Wales to Cardiff to raise more than £250,000 for the new Children's Hospital for Wales.
Zeta Jones is flying into Cardiff on April 27 to join the last part of the walk from Cardiff Bay to Cardiff Castle.
Wales is the only country in Europe without a dedicated hospital for children, and the Noah's Ark Appeal has been set up to raise money to build one in the Welsh capital. Building work is set to start in the spring of 2003 and the new hospital will be finished by the end of 2004.
Zeta Jones is patron of the Noah's Ark Appeal. After the walk finishes, she will attend a fundraising gala dinner hosted by the Lord Mayor of Cardiff at Sophia Gardens.
Catherine said: "On behalf of the Appeal, I am thrilled to be able to play a small part in celebrating the completion of his trek across Wales which has been so well supported by so many people across the country."
Ian Botham is renowned for his charity walks, after walking from John O'Groats to Land's End in 1985 to raise money for the Leukaemia Research
Fund.
He said: "It's great to have Catherine, one of our two patrons, joining us in Cardiff and we all look forward to meeting her.
"I just might be a little tired by then but with Charlotte Church, the other patron of the Noah's Ark Appeal, singing for us at the gala dinner, it promises to be a great day in Cardiff.
