On today's show we're giving away another $50,000! Oprah presents this week's Angel Network "Use Your Life" Award to a working mom whose traumatic childhood motivated her to start a camp that reunites foster children who have been separated from their siblings. Later in the show, the Walt Disney Company and the McDonalds Corporation launched an international "Millennium Dreamers" search and scoured the globe to find the world's most exceptional children. These kids are using their lives to help others in extraordinary ways. Oprah talks to a brother and sister who are trying to end hunger with their "Turkeys R Us" project. You'll also meet a young girl who created a beautiful memorial for a school friend who died, and nine-year-old boy on an anti-violence mission. Find out what he is doing to stop random acts of violence. Then, two very talented teens who met on our show, virtuoso singer Charlotte Church and artist Amanda Dunbar, tell us how they came together to celebrate the spirit of giving.

Charlotte had a successful taping for her Oprah Show yesterday and right after she flew back to the UK finally in preparation for some upcoming appearances and of course the Brit Awards!

Charlotte is set to appear on Oprah with Amanda Dunbar on May 1st. She will appear during the "Remembering your Spirit" segment.

Charlotte is a nominee for a World Music Award. The event will be held in Monte Carlo on the 10th of May. The awards will be broadcasted world wide on the 29 of May.

Today Charlotte and Amanda Dunbar spent a busy day together promoting Amanda's new book "Guided by Angels" in New York City. They started out with a Press Conference at FAO Schwartz and then spent the rest of the day at Oprah's Oxygen Network where they appeared on "Trackers". Just got word that the Charlotte Chat will be postponed to a later date, good news for me since I have a ceremony to attend tomorrow but bad news for the others who were waiting to attend. Stay tuned for the final date!

Charlotte will be appearing with her friend, Amanda Dunbar who is one of the worlds best up and coming young artists. The two will be in New York to promote Amanda's new book "Guided by Angel's". They will be at FAO Schwartz in New York followed by an appearance on Oprah's Oxygen Network, Amanda painted this Amazing Picture of Charlotte:

Still not clear what she is doing this week after the Doves but rest assured we will tell you as soon as we find out.

Charlotte's next appearance will be on the day time television talk show "The View". Scheduled to be aired on Monday, April 17, 2000. This is another live performance by Charlotte. "The View" is an ABC news/talk program. Check your local television guide for the time of the broadcast.

The Tonight Show's program in which Charlotte is a guest will be aired, in Brazil, by the cable channel The Superstation on Wednesday, April 19 at 23:00.

New A&E Schedule for Broadcast of San Francisco Appearance | April 14

Just got this sent to me from Weller/Grossman Productions regarding the final date for the A&E broadcast of the Concert in San Francisco.

The new title for the special: "Heroes For The Planet featuring
Special Guest Charlotte Church" Brought to you by Ford Motor Company (a
Weller/Grossman Production) it airs on A&E May 20 from
7:00PM-8:00PM ET/PT.

Charlotte has started to appear in the new Sonicnet.com Commercials adverting ME Radio. Personally I saw one of them on CBS but they should be on MTV as well for the next couple of months.

Hey I just got an e-mail from my friend Rick who confirmed a couple of things:

The Kennedy Center Performance by Charlotte was not taped therefore there
will be no rebroadcast of this performance.

The San Francisco Concert on April 15, 2000 is to be held at Nob Hill
Masonic Center in San Francisco. From the officials at the San Francisco
Women's Philharmonic Orchestra this comment: "Tickets are NOT for sale.
This concert is not open to the public."

The concert will be shown on May 20th on A&E as we confirmed yesterday so we'll all be looking forward to that.

Looks like we didn't catch this one coming either, it was held on Sunday in Washington. Here are the specifics:

On Sunday April 9th, the eighth annual Kennedy Center Gala will salute the American
musical. Among the performers: Charlotte Church, Denyce Graves, John
Lithgow, Bebe Neuwirth, Paul Sorvino and Dionne Warwick.

Charlotte now stars in a new commercial for Target celebrating spring here's what it looks like until we can get some pics:

"She's just sitting there wearing this atrocious green fuzzy hat, and she's singing "Easter parade" from the film of the same title. she picks up an egg, and she sings the last few notes, and the egg cracks a bit. but it didn't break open like she wanted, so she re-sings the last couple of notes with more trills and frills and THEN it cracks open and a chick pops out and she exclaims in that oh-so-British-empire way, 'brilliant!'"

Last year they had Luciano Pavarotti. This year, the Columbus Symphony
Orchestra will present teen-aged singing sensation Charlotte Church for its
annual gala benefit. The concert sold out on the day it was announced in
Columbus last week. The 14-year-old Welsh soprano will make her Midwest
debut with Maestro Alessandro Siciliani and the Columbus Symphony on April
11 at the Ohio Theatre. Miss Church's first album, Voice of an Angel, sold
more than 2 million copies. Her second album, Charlotte Church, went
platinum (600,000), and she is the youngest artist ever to have a No. 1
album on the classical charts.

You heard that right Charlotte Fans! Charlotte will make a special appearance in a Ford Sponsored Concert in San Francisco on April 15th you can read the official rough press release here!

Charlotte is set to appear on the Jay Leno Show April 13th. In addition to this Charlotte's Ford commercial is has also been frequently playing on CNBC and MSNBC near 45 past the hour. So keep an eye out for Charlotte all American Viewers!

Charlotte Church will perform and Sixpence None the Richer will debut its new single "Melody of You" during the Dove Awards presentation next month. The Gospel Music Association's annual awards ceremony, hosted by Kathie Lee Gifford, takes place in Nashville April 20. The Dove Awards will be produced live for television and syndicated nationally between April 20 and May 7. The official Dove Awards Web site contains specific local viewing information.
