Charlotte Church is to star in special concert to help
raise funds to build the first children's hospital in Wales.
The 14-year-old soprano, who pledged her support for the appeal at
its launch last month, will perform a number of songs at a gala dinner in the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport on September 25th.
Ms Church will also be donating some of the clothes she has worn during her stage and television performances
for auction along with other show business memorabilia.
The event is a huge boost to The Noah's Ark Appeal to raise 3.7 million pounds to
build a children's hospital in the grounds of the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
The teenager, from Llandaff, Cardiff, said she was thrilled to be
involved in the appeal, particularly as it was to provide a better future for children.
The event includes a champagne reception, five-course dinner,
entertainment, celebrity auction and raffle.
Organiser Mark Burrows of St David's Events said, It is marvellous
that Charlotte has found time in her very busy schedule to support her favourite charity.
We are all very excited at the prospect of what is going to be a
very special evening to raise a great deal of money for an exceptional cause.
Tickets Costing 100 pounds each, can be bought individually or in tables from
