Two amazing days of music that will suit all tastes at the Lydiard Park,
Swindon. The Classical Extravaganza, a superb night of classical music under
the atmospheric Wiltshire skies and Party in the Park which has become a
highlight of the music scene in Swindon, offering names at the top of the

Classical Extrvaganza
A grat night of classical favourites under Wiltshire skies. Gates open at
5pm on Friday 25th August for picnics nd outdoor banquets. The
irrepresssible Jae Alexander and the English National Symphony Orchestra will
launch the evening with a selection of Classical favourites and as the light weakens, the vintage aircraft circling in the distance will close in for a
spectacular aerial disply to accompany Ron Gooddwin's Battle of Britain
theme.
The highlights of the first half of concert will be solos from the sensational teenage soprano Charlotte Church, Maria Kesselman and bass
baritone Willard White. The heaven sent harmonies of the London Community
Gospel Choir will rise into the skies.
Miss Church will be making one of her few outdoor festival appearances after winning this years Classical Brit Award for "British Artist of the Year."
Maria Kesselman will draw the night to a close in traditional style with all
the traditional Last night of the Proms numbers, as a massive fireworks disply explodes over the arena.
Party In the Park
Party in the Park has become a highlight of the music scene in Swindon,
offering names at the top of the charts, new groups breaking into
recognition and performers who have built a reputation. Brit Award Winners
STEPS head line the Party in the Park, plus a whole raft of current chart
achieving acts. The Vengaboys, Fierce, Atomic Kitten and scooch.
Swindon girl group with a great future, Esensual, are being given Their big
break as well and for the more mature in the audience ex-Spandau ballet heart throb Tony Hadley returns to swindon after a massive set at last
year's festival.
